Short-term exchanges of groups of pupils

The aim of the mobility was to get to know Turkey, its traditions, customs, places of natural beauty etc. 


ON THE FIRST DAY

An Erasmus festival was organized by the host country during which all of the teachers and the students could meet each other. Team building games were played in order to warm up. Power point presentations of Turkey and Niğde were shown. Folk dances were performed by the students who wear traditional costumes which belong to the middle part of Turkey. Later on we took part in workshops of traditional handicrafts such as ebru and stone painting workshops.
Folk songs were sung by the students.


ON THE SECOND DAY

We visited Cappadocia region,which is famous for its fairy chimneys. 
Students took part in clay workshops where they could learn how to make a pot out of clay..
We could also admire kitchen utensils painted in a traditional way.
We also joined a Turkish night where we saw the drama of the Henna Night, which is the day before the wedding ceremonies in Turkey.


ON THE THIRD DAY


Everybody is going to make a power point presentation of their countries and cities.A competition will be done among the students.
Students will learn how to make one of the traditional meals'içli köfte' in the refectory of the school.

Students will learn how to make one of the traditional drinks 'şalgam' in the refectory of the school.
They will learn how to make one of the ornamenting arts 'Ebru' .
We will visit Eskigümüşler Monastery, Niğde Museum, Roman Pool and Tyana Aqueducts, and students who wear the t-shirts and the hats of our Partnership will be our guides in order to give information about them, so teachers and students will be able to see the effects of Byzantines, Hittites and Romans.


ON THE THIRD DAY

Students from each partner school prepared power point presentations of their countries and cities and educational systems.
We visited Eskigümüşler Monastery, Niğde Museum, Roman Pool and Tyana Aqueducts, so teachers and students were able to see the effects of Byzantines, Hittites and Romans.

ON THE FOURTH DAY

We visited Mersin and admired the architecture and the natural beauty of Turkey, as well as local cuisine


ON THE FIFTH DAY

A meeting was held among the teachers.
A quız was carried out among the teachers and the students.
A fair-well dinner was organized and  certificates of participation were given to the teachers and the student

During the mobility students adn teachers also had a possibility to visit local homes, to see what life in Turkey is like from the inside, and to integrate with parents and local
