Short-term exchanges of groups of pupils

Short-term students’ exchange was named „Let’s get to know Poland”. And that was the exact aim of all activities organized within the mobility.


DAY 1. Monday.

 

Guest teachers and students were welcomed in school and given short presentations about Poland, Lubuskie region, Gorzów Wielkopolski and I Liceum Ogólnokształcące, host school. Then short lesson of basic Polish took place, followed by integration language activities, during which students from Poland, Portugal, Romania and Turkey compared different aspects of lives in their countries. Then sports integration activities were organized. After that students had a walking tour of the city which finished with the visit to the local museum.


DAY 2. Tuesday.

Cooking and handicraft workshops were held in the picturesque location of Danków village. Students prepared traditional Polish dishes together and and made their own souvenirs from Poland (magnets, postcards) with traditional Polish patterns (wycinanki Łowickie, wzory kurpiowskie). Extra souvenirs were prepared for Italian students who could not attend the mobility due to CIVID-19 restrictions.


DAY 3. Wednesday

Participants of the exchange got to know Polish architecture on the city tour of Poznań and took part in baking workshops in Muzeum Rogalowe Poznania (The Croissant Museum of Poznan)


DAY 4. Thursday

Guest students got to know Polish culture and traditions during folk dance and folk song workshops. Later on some students worked on the film summarizing the week of the exchange, while others took part in artistic workshops, creating posters ”The Way I See Poland”.


DAY 5. Friday

 

A concert in the school auditorium was held to summarize the week of the mobility. The results of singing, dancing, arts workshops were performed. Additionally, students from all countries performed their national songs and dances. Then the film about our mobility week was shown.
 

Every day 20 out of 35 project  participants from host school and all guest students and teachers took part in the activities organised within the project. Many students and teachers of the host school were also involved to aid and support the organisers in different aspects - the school band performed during the concert and accompanied the songs performed  by project participants, school cheerleaders and sports teachers organised sports integration activities, music of partner countries was played in the school radio so that every student could get a glimpse of the partner countries' culture, school journalist club  took care of reporting every day of the mobility for  local community via articles on school website and facebook page. Over 100 students from the first class had an opportunity to watch the final concert on Friday.
